Question: Bob visited his parents’ house before going to work. As he was leaving

Question:
Bob visited his parents’ house before going to work. As he was leaving he saw a £20 note on the living room table, which he took and placed in his pockets.
Later that day, while Bob was in his office, he received a phone call from Lina. She wanted the £1000 that she had lent to him. Bob was not getting paid for another week so he decided to take £1000 cash from the company safe to pay her.
On his way home, Bob went to a kiosk and bought some crisps and drinks for £5. He paid the cashier with a £10 note but the cashier gave him £20 in return. After leaving the shop Bob noticed that the cashier had given him a £20 but he decided to put the money in his wallet.
A week later Bob got paid and put £1000 cash into the company safe.
Consider Bob’s liability for theft.
